BRADY WATT FEAT. ROME STREETZ & 38 SPESH – PISTOL WHIP

Brady Watt continues churning out bangers as the bassist teams up with Griselda for his latest outing. Rome Streetz and 38 Spesh are a menace on “Pistol Whip,” which is produced by Watt and Carlos Homs. Both emcees get busy and we get a dope switch up on the beat for the second half.

PAUL WALL & TERMANOLOGY FEAT. BUN B & DEANDRE NICO – NO APOLOGIES (PRODUCED BY STATIK SELEKTAH)

Paul Wall and Termanology are one of the more unlikely duos in Hip Hop. The Texas and New York connection would have never been thought to be viable 15 years ago but here they are making extremely dope music. Following their 2022 release Start 2 Finish, they are back at it with Start, Finish, Repeat set to drop on October 13. Check out how they work alongside Bun B with Statik Selektah on the boards with “No Apologies.”

DJ PREMIER – BEATS THAT COLLECTED DUST VOL. 3

DJ Premier has released the third volume of his Beats That Collected Dust series that started back in 2011. Obviously, you know what these are but it’s always fascinating when you find out that there are beats that Premier produced and sat on the shelf for years.

“I like unique releases, and Beats That Collected Dust is so unique,” Premier says. “The format is an original tool, just like talk beds, freestyles, writing verses, and just plain listening. I decide when to release these instrumental volumes when they reach the stage of collecting dust. So here we are; Beats That Collected Dust, Vol. 3 is here.”

NAS & HIT-BOY – SUPERHERO STATUS

It’s the end of an era. For Nasir Jones’ 50th birthday — which also happens to coincide with Hip Hop’s 50th — the legendary emcee caps off his immaculate run of albums with Hit-Boy by dropping Magic 3. Two series with three albums each over the course of three years ends here. One of the standout tracks on this album is “Superhero Status.” Check it out and then make sure to listen to the entire album.  For what has been called a young man’s game, Nas has certainly proven that age is nothing but a number when it comes to skills.
