MEYHEM LAUREN: CONQUERING THE WORLD WITH A BEAUTIFUL FACE (A NOISEY RAPS DOCUMENTARY) [VIDEO]

Over the past few years rapper Meyhem Lauren has been making a name for himself in the underground hip-hop scene. And in the last year, he’s elevated his status with his first record on Fool’s Gold called ‘Piatto D’Oro.’ We hung out with the Queens rapper in New York as he told us the plans for the rest of his year, which may or may not include spa treatments. – Noisey

WATCH THIS RECREATION OF NOTORIOUS B.I.G’S “I GOT A STORY TO TELL” IN A SHORT FILM

Director Aristotle Torres comes through with a short film recreation of Notorious B.I.G.’s “I Got A Story To Tell.” Which is interesting considering that Fat Joe just revealed that the subject of Biggie’s tale was the late Anthony Mason. Perfect timing? Sure, why not. As for the film, it stars Broadway actors Ade Otukoya and Delano Barbosa in the roles of Biggie and Mason and Amina Blue is the young lady that is at the center of it all.

LISTEN TO CHANCE THE RAPPER’S DEMO VERSIONS OF KANYE WEST’S “FAMOUS” AND “WAVES”

Chance The Rapper appeared on the Zane Lowe show and talked about a bunch of stuff. But what is interesting is that Chance played the demo versions of “Famous” and “Waves,” which both ended up on Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo album. You’ll notice that Chance’s version of “Waves” includes a choir, which West removed for his album. Check both out and decided which versions are better.
