BRADY WATT FEAT. ROME STREETZ & 38 SPESH – PISTOL WHIP

Brady Watt continues churning out bangers as the bassist teams up with Griselda for his latest outing. Rome Streetz and 38 Spesh are a menace on “Pistol Whip,” which is produced by Watt and Carlos Homs. Both emcees get busy and we get a dope switch up on the beat for the second half.

KILLER MIKE FEAT. ROBERT GLASPER & ERYN ALLEN KANE – MOTHERLESS [VIDEO]

Killer Mike connects with Robert Glasper and Eryn Allen Kane for a stripped down version of “Motherless” from Mike’s incredible Michael album. Glasper provides the keys with Kane’s sweet vocals being the backdrop for Mike to deliver his message about the passing of his mother and grandmother. It’s an incredible moment more than worth your time.

“Two years ago I was asked to get on a ‘Black Superhero’ by Robert Glasper- the song was incredible and he’d go on to win a Grammy for that album,” Mike said. “My only regret was that we weren’t in the same room together when we made it. So when talks of him remixing “MOTHERLESS” came up it was a no brainer only this time we wanted to be in studio together along with Eryn Allen Kane.

“Someone was smart enough to have cameras there capturing us making this tribute to my mother, Druzella Denise Clonts aka OG Mama Niecy and Rob’s mother, Kim Yvette Glasper. Performing this song is never easy- I wept every night on tour The outpouring of emotions has been part of healing. To all those who belong to Motherless club I pray this helps and to all those who are lucky enough to have their mothers- call them!”

OUTKAST – SPOTTIEOTTIEDOPALISCIOUS [VIDEO]

It’s been fifteen long years since OutKast released their classic album Aquemini. Andre 3000 and Big Boi’s third studio album truly set them apart from every act in music. As we pass the 15th anniversary, it was decided by the dynamic duo to release an animated video for the stellar “Spottieottiedopaliscious.” Why? Who knows and who cares. But it’s necessary. Directed by OK Motion Club, the trippy visuals are perfect for the woozy production and powerful horns that carry 3 Stacks and Sir Luscious Leftfoot’s lyrics.

DRAKE – 8AM IN CHARLOTTE [VIDEO]

There’s something about [timestamp] + [location] Drake that gets the Toronto emcee’s lyricism going. Although his latest album For All My Dogs isn’t a full on rap album, this joint demonstrates that Drake can rhyme alongside the best of them when he feels it’s necessary.

Following their 2022 release Start 2 Finish, they are back at it with Start, Finish, Repeat set to drop on October 13. Check out how they work alongside Bun B with Statik Selektah on the boards with “No Apologies.”
