Afeni Shakur was much more than just the mother of Tupac Shakur. The Black Panther and political activist instilled her son with an outlook on life, civil rights and social consciousness that would permeate into his music and help him become one of the most iconic figures in all of music.
Unfortunately, Ms. Shakur passed away on Monday night after going into cardiac arrest.
