DARINGER – BAKER’S DOZEN [ALBUM STREAM]

The man behind the beats over at Griselda teams up with Fat Beats and cooks up a Baker’s Dozen of production. Daringer’s 13 instrumentals vary from hard-hitting to smooth and jazzy.

“I’ve been developing the ear for composition since my born day,” Daringer says. “My father is a jazz pianist, I grew up everyday listening to hours of him practicing solo improv. That’s why my sequences are often unconventional.

I cooked this Baker’s Dozen as a token of appreciation to all the artists who have inquired for the opportunity to rap over my music.”

CASANOVA – FORGED IN STEEL

Casanova’s rough and rugged style is perfect for this boxing themed song that leads the charge for Anthony Joshua’s June 1st clash with Andy Ruiz at Madison Square Garden.

“Boxing and music are very similar. They both give you a voice to express the anger you feel, without getting in trouble for it,” Casanova told Billboard. “I hope that doesn’t go over y’all heads.”

CONWAY, WESTSIDE GUNN & BENNY – HEADLINES (PRODUCED BY DJ PREMIER)

What happens when Griselda connects with DJ Premier? Pure wickedness.

Westside Gunn, Conway and Benny put their verbal stylings over some head-snapping DJ Premier production on “Headlines,” which is released on Payday Records.

“I’ve wanted to do a record with them individually for a few years now,” DJ Premier says. “I had been listening to Westside Gunn first. Conway got my lyrical attention very heavy when Alchemist told me to listen to how he rhymes. Then after I got in tune with Benny’s songs, I immediately knew that in order to follow up the Casanova record it made sense to have all three on the same single. ‘Headlines’ was made organically from a blank canvas at my studio at 2am and it happened so fast; and I loved their work ethic.”
