NAS EXPLAINS HOW HE ALMOST COLLABORATED WITH NOTORIOUS B.I.G. ON THE GIMME THE LOOT REMIX [VIDEO]

Did you know that Nas and Biggie almost ended up collaborating for a remix to “Gimme The Loot?”

Let that sink in for a minute…

In an interview with DJ Khaled, Nas revealed that he and the Notorious B.I.G. were in the studio working on a remix to “Gimme The Loot” when marijuana ended up undoing it all.

“He wanted to get me on Ready To Die, and by the time I finished my first joint that was already out. He was trying to get me on Ready To Die, and it never happened. So he wanted to do the ‘Gimme The Loot’ remix,” said Nas. “He put up the beat, and I started writing. But he started smoking.”

Esco continued, “He had some of that chocolate. He lit some of that up, and it was late. We’re lit. I’m like, ‘I ain’t got nothing. This is over today.’”

The rest of the interview is pretty dope as well but that jewels is a headrocker.

ROYCE DA 5’9″ ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM

It’s been five years since the last Royce Da 5’9″ solo album so it’s about that time for Nickle to drop a new album. With that comes the announcement of Layers dropping on April 15th via Bad Half Entertainment/INgrooves. It will be executive produced by Denaun Porter and looks to be Royce attempting to show how much he has grown over the past few years as an artist.

“This album was the first album that I spent a lot of time putting it together as a complete thought,” explains Royce Da 5’9.” “Most of my albums reflect an emotion based off of my feelings. Death Is Certain was dark because of everything I was going through; this album reflects my emotion, but also my thoughts. I’ve learned a lot from being apart of Bad Meets Evil, Slaughterhouse and PRhyme and I’ve had the opportunity to use all of those experiences to better myself as artist, so it’s very exciting to see how those experiences will affect my career.”
