Rap Radar’s Brian “B Dot” Miller and Elliot Wilson host the inaugural Rap Radar Shady XV podcast. The hour and a half show has an extensive conversation with Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg and some interesting news bits including anecdotes from Rosenberg, Reef and Whoo Kid about Eminem’s early days as an emcee and the emergence of Shady Records as well as the announcement that a 66-track mixtape is on its way.
In an interview with HipHollywood, Faith Evans announced that she is working on a duets album that will feature vocals from the late, great Notorious B.I.G. Evans says that the album, tentatively titled “The King & I,” drew inspiration from Natalie Cole’s collaboration album that featured her late father Nat King Cole. No release date has been confirmed so stay tuned for more information.

The recent announcement of DJ Premier and Royce da 5’9″ joining forces as PRhyme has easily been one of the best surprises in rap this year. Two veterans in the game hailing from Brooklyn and Detroit, respectively, Premier and Royce have showcased their impressive chemistry in the studio in years past. That legacy will continue when their self-titled album is released next month.
In anticipation for their collaborative projective, Premo and Royce are also sharing an accompanying documentary, Raiders of the Lost Art. Today, Complex premieres the first installment, which follows their personal and professional journey through the industry. The documentary is narrated by Port Arthur’s finest, Bun B.

Nasir Jones connects with Sony to perform the Illmatic classic “The World Is Yours” a cappella. Shot for Vice Japan, the video is to help promote Sony’s new line of Music Video Recorders (which were used to shoot the video).

In celebration of Nas’ 20th Anniversary of his debut album “Illmatic”, we got to hang out with him and record his accapella version of “The World is Yours” using our Music Video Recorders from Sony (http: //www.sony.net/mvr). He nailed it, obviously. Also known as HDR-MV1, or MVR for short, these bad boys are made so the average Joe can shoot a high-quality music video with relative ease. It doesn’t hurt that they record with CD-quality audio (or the always Internet-friendly AAC format) and are accompanied with a 120° wide-angle lens. Not bad. Pretty much out of nowhere, J. Cole announces a new full length album titled 2014 Forest Hills Drive. The album, whose title is actually the address of Cole’s new home down in Fayetteville, North Carolina, drops on December 9th and was announced with a seven minute video that finds J. Cole living the common man’s life back in North Carolina.
