Rick Rubin is preparing to drop Star Wars Headspace on February 19 and it will feature production using the sounds from the Star Wars franchise. First up, we have Flying Lotus, who uses the sounds of the droids for his appropriately titled “R2 Where R U.”
Thundercat, Flying Lotus and Shabazz Palaces have formed the collective WOKE and are joined by George Clinton for the funky single “The Lavishments of Light Looking.”
On June 22, Thundercat will release Where The Giants Roam, a mini LP of sorts from the ultra talented bass player who was all over Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly. Here’s the first joint with long time collaborator Flying Lotus.

Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar had collaborated on a song titled “Eyes Above” for Lotus’ You’re Dead but the song didn’t make the final cut for the album. But that hasn’t stopped FlyLo from playing it at his shows.
