Meek Mill touched the BET Awards stage with a powerful performance of his first song since being released from prison titled “Stay Woke.” The Philly rapper’s theatrical performance found him and Miguel with a backdrop of chaos in the neighborhood and police brutality. If this is an indication of what’s to come from Meek Mill, we’re here for it.

You’ve heard the song, now see the official video for Miguel and DJ Premier’s collaboration “2 Lovin U.” The song was originally supposed to be featured on Miguel’s Wildheart album but ended up on the cutting room floor. But now with Preemo polishing it up, it gets an official release.
Not too long ago, Miguel posted an image of himself with DJ Premier when he was promoting his Wildheart album. Nothing materialized on that particular album but now we get to see the fruits of their labor in the form of “2 Lovin U.”
“The snippet you heard on Miguel’s Instagram, mine is the original” DJ Premier declared. “Miguel and I were vibing at a session and just really seeing what we could come up with. What we came up with was a dope, but rough version of what you hear today. Miguel and I had deadlines and we never got around to finishing it. We both really believed in this version of the track and we both felt very strongly that it needed to come out and be released as a single” Miguel and I approached the label about releasing it and everyone was on-board.”
For those that didn’t get their hands the posthumous album Jay Love Japan back in 2008, you’ll be happy to know that it will be re-released on May 6th. With that comes the official release of “Sun In My Face” that features Blu along with a guy named Miguel Jontel that you may know.
