It’s a somber note for R.A. The Rugged Man with the vivid storytelling in his latest offering from All My Heroes Are Dead titled “Wondering (How To Believe)” that features David Myles on the hook. R.A. addresses abuse, addiction and loss in this powerful video that is based on a true story. The album drops on April 17.

“The song is a reintroduction to who I am and my life,” R.A. said of the song and video that parodies today’s hip hop artists. “My day-one fans will be able to relate because they watched me go through it, but I think people who don’t know sh*t about me can relate to this story as well. That roller coaster of life, downs and ups. No matter how far you fall, you can kick your way out of it and get back on your feet. I been beaten and bloodied and left for dead and survived. If I could do it so can you.”

The trio of Gift of Gab, R.A. The Rugged Man and A-F-R-O recently announced a project titled Rejoice! Rappers are Rapping Again and delivered the song “Freedom Form Flowing.” Now the song has accompanying visuals as all three are in the middle of nowhere with cardboard masks rocking a microphone.
It’s good to see Gift of Gab back at it as his breathless flow is joined by the baritone of R.A. The Rugged Man and A-F-R-O for “Freedom Form Flowing” off his forthcoming EP Rejoice! Rappers Are Rapping Again.
Sadat X is joined by Thirsten Howl III and R.A. The Rugged Man as they rhyme in front of Sean Price’s mural for the video to “Industry Outcast.”
The Beatnuts’ Psycho Les is set to drop the “Dank God Vol. 1” mixtape on August 9 and sets the stage with the first joint featuring R.A. The Rugged man as the duo spits “Ba Ba Bars.” You’ll notice the sample and how the duo flips it for the hook.
Classified and R.A. The Rugged Man join forces for the remix to “Hoody And A Ballcap” and represent for the underground hip hop fans.
“This is a song for the underground heads,” says Classified. “The ones with the hoody pulled up and the ballcap pulled down. If you’re into bars and beats, this one is for you.”
“Classified has been killing it for years, so when we finally connected I was ready,” adds the Rugged Man. “He hit me with this joint, and I went in the booth and really gave him something personal that I’m proud of. He mixed and arranged the music and I think the shit is great. I love this song.”
