Psych Major — under the alias of Psych 101 — teams up with Ras Kass for “Dystopia” as Psych continues his weekly rampage of music.
“It’s been a few years since I recorded a verse so I used a hand-held mic like I was doing a live show to get that energy up,” said Psych. “I know you can hear obvious audio differences in our verses but I like the grit.”

Many moons ago, Ras Kass, Killah Priest, Canibus and Killah Priest formed the supergroup known as The HRSMN. They dropped a few songs but we never got a full-length album. That will all change on June 18 when the quartet releases The Last Ride. To set things off, they release a doubleheader of an animated video with “Believer/False Profits.”

“Ironically, Ras Kass and I are neighbors in LA, but during quarantine I’ve been locked down in New York City since early May. Luckily, I have a studio here and have been able to make music every day, I wanted to make a positive song for the world right now and saw an awesome opportunity to do that with Ras and Maverick” Brady quipped. “I’ve worked with Ras Kass before when we did our Bass & Bars and I’ve been a fan of Maverick’s for years. The video for “Push On Thru” was shot during the quarantine in Ireland, New York and LA (all using social distancing practices of course).”
Jamo Gang’s Walking With Lions drops on May 8th and the trio of Ras Kass, El Gant and J57 connect with Slug of Atmosphere for the DJ Premier-produced “The 1st Time.”

Ras Kass, El Gant and J57 are preparing to drop their new album Walking With Lions on April 10 and will feature the likes of Slug, DJ Premier, Sick Jacken, Slaine, Tiffany Topol and Sid Wilson of Slipknot. But here’s the first single “Belushi & Aykroyd.”
As Ras Kass prepares to finally drop Soul On Ice 2, the Carson emcee pays homage to the living legend LL Cool J alongside Snoop Dogg with a song of the same name.
