Fresh off of his incredible VERZUZ with partner in rhyme and getting high, Method Man, Reggie Noble kicks down the door with “80 Barz.” Apparently, that Muddy Waters 2 album is still coming. When? We don’t know. Hopefully soon because Redman still has savage bars.
It’s hard to believe that it has been five years since Phife Dawg passed away. But his family has been hard at work to complete the follow up to his Ventilation: Da LP album that dropped back in 2000. The video for “Nutshell Pt. 2” features Redman and Busta Rhymes and also has cameos from Q-Tip, Consequence and DJ Rasta Roo.
There are no updates on when the album will drop but this is a good sign that we’re going to get something dope.
It still feels unreal that Phife Dawg is no longer with us. But his legacy will live on and the latest reminder of his incredible ability as an emcee comes with “Nutshell Pt. 2” that features Redman and Busta Rhymes joining Phife over a J Dilla production. It’s a sequel to the last song Phife released.
We hope that you’re still giving Gang Starr’s One of the Best Yet some heavy rotation. But even if you are, hearing Method Man and Redman over DJ Premier production in 2020 on the remix for “Bad Name” is just what you need to get through your day. Turn this up.
