It still feels unreal that Phife Dawg is no longer with us. But his legacy will live on and the latest reminder of his incredible ability as an emcee comes with “Nutshell Pt. 2” that features Redman and Busta Rhymes joining Phife over a J Dilla production. It’s a sequel to the last song Phife released.
Nasty Nas goes in over Hit Boy production again in what may have been a leftover from King’s Disease with “EPMD.” It’s another joint from the Judas & The Black Messiah soundtrack.
From the soundtrack to Judas & The Black Messiah comes this collaboration between Jay-Z and the late, great Nipsey Hussle. “What it Feels Like.” Just hit play and ride out.
Nipsey Hussle’s passing still doesn’t feel real. But in celebration of his life, his estate shares a visual album for The Marathon on the 10th anniversary of his seminal mixtape. You’ll get to hear from those involved with the creation of the mixtape and previously unreleased interviews.
“The experience will give viewers [an] intimate look at the era that helped shape this masterpiece” Nipsey’s estate said in a statement. “The people, the places, the stories, and more.”
Conway and Big Ghost have been known to make magic together and the duo does just that by dropping If it Bleeds It Can Be Killed. Ten tracks of pure ferociousness are at your disposal here but go ahead and hit play on “Kill All Rats” that finds Conway alongside Ransom and Rome Streetz for some verbal brutality.
The Juggaknots’ very own Breeze Brewin drops a new joint with Marco Polo titled “King Oxymoron.” Breeze’s unique rhyme scheme fits perfectly over Marco’s signature production. This cut comes from Brewin’s recently released Hindsight album that you should probably go and listen to right now.
