D Smoke jumps on the remix for Rapsody’s “Afeni” from her stellar Eve album. With 9th Wonder’s smooth production and PJ Morton’s vocals, the duo salute women in this welcome revisitation of a standout off of Rapsody’s album.

Kanye West has announced that he’ll drop his 10th solo studio album this year titled God’s Country. Judging by the lead single “Wash Us In The Blood” that features Travis Scott, it’s a mixture of Yeezus and JESUS IS KING. The video splices together footage from the protests across the country, videos of police brutality and artful visuals. The song was also mixed down by Dr. Dre.
Buckwild brings in North Carolina’s finest as Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh flex over the DITC producer’s beat on “Ease Up” from Buck’s Fully Loaded album.
To kick off the 2020 BET Awards, Public Enemy properly read the room and brought in Nas, Black Thought, Rapsody, YG and Jahi to revamp their classic song “Fight The Power.” As relevant now as it was 31 years ago, each emcee brings their own flavor to the 2020 version of the song.
Most of the time, when you think of a supergroup, you think of emcees. But this collaborative between musicians is one that we should all be checking for. Terrace Martin, 9th Wonder, Robert Glasper and Kamasi Washington are working together as an outfit called Dinner Party and will drop an album on July 10. To formally announce the project, the quartet releases the song “Freeze Tag” with singer Phoelix.
Big Boi and Sleepy Brown have been teasing The Big Sleepover project since last September. We’re in the middle of summer 2020 and the duo drop a new video in the form of “Can’t Sleep” that has only renewed interest in the collaborative album.
D.I.T.C. producer Buckwild will drop his next project Fully Loaded on July 1st and releases the title track featuring Rome Streetz and Rim.
