Apollo Brown and Planet Asia are teaming up for a collaboration album titled Anchovies that will drop via Mello Music Group on August 25. To kick things off, the duo release the sparse arrangement of “Daili Lama Slang” with some lyrical assistance from Willie The Kid.
Apollo Brown & Skyzoo just returned from South Africa & Mozambique as part of “The Easy Truth” Tour. They decided to enlist some of Brooklyn’s finest (kids) to play the parts of Apollo, Skyzoo, Stretch, Bobbito, and recreate the classic 90s radio show “The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show.” The result is a low-key vhs style video session of WKCR’s most classic program. 89.9
Reks drops another video from his brilliant The Greatest X project in the form of the Apollo Brown produced “H.I.P.H.O.P.” With the acronym in place meaning “her infinite powers help oppressed people,” Reks gives you a glimpse of what those people look like.
Apollo Brown and Skyzoo revisit The Easy Truth and release the video for “Nodding Off.” The visuals find the duo out on the corner lacing narratives while the trumpeter blows.
