Detroit’s Jon Connor drops a new joint to celebrate blackness in the face of adversity with the video for “Black” that features Sister Tour.

“It saddens me that a song I wrote about such a grim topic a year ago would be even more relevant and necessary today than it was then,” he said about the song. “For me, the race issues in our country aren’t a fad or a hot topic for the moment. It’s my life and the everyday experience of all Black people in this county.”

Buffalo emcee TheRealSkitso drops this new joint reflecting on the concept of loss and how he’s struggled with it over the years with “Pain.” The self-produced track is a harsh reflection as he takes the viewer on a journey through Buffalo.

Brady Watt brings Ras Kass and Maverick Sabre together for the inspirational “Push On Thru” and drops a video that was shot during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Ironically, Ras Kass and I are neighbors in LA, but during quarantine I’ve been locked down in New York City since early May. Luckily, I have a studio here and have been able to make music every day, I wanted to make a positive song for the world right now and saw an awesome opportunity to do that with Ras and Maverick” Brady quipped.  “I’ve worked with Ras Kass before when we did our Bass & Bars and I’ve been a fan of Maverick’s for years.  The video for “Push On Thru” was shot during the quarantine in Ireland, New York and LA (all using social distancing practices of course).”
